{"id":350,"date":"2013-10-10T21:34:01","date_gmt":"2013-10-10T21:34:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wombatsdigit.com\/w\/?p=350"},"modified":"2013-10-10T21:34:01","modified_gmt":"2013-10-10T21:34:01","slug":"the-long-dark-voyage-for-your-reading-pleasure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wombatsdigit.com\/w\/the-long-dark-voyage-for-your-reading-pleasure\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;The Long Dark Voyage&#8221; for Your Reading Pleasure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All this talk of baseball writing and more got me on an archaeological kick the other day, through old Sane Magazine issues, and I found the original of\u00c2\u00a0&#8220;<a title=\"The Long, Dark Voyage, a Sane Magazine Original\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sanemagazine.net\/now303.html\">The Long, Dark Voyage<\/a>.&#8221; So you can read the story that appeared in the excellent\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Fenway Fiction\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/1579401198\/matthanlon-20\"><em>Fenway Fiction<\/em><em>: Short Stories from the Red Sox Nation\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/a>for FREE, at what used to be my (and horde of hundreds of employees) weekly creative workout.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 345px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sanemagazine.net\/images\/large_logo.gif\" width=\"345\" height=\"204\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sane Magazine: wonderful rubbish<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I&#8217;m not going to lie, it&#8217;s a little fast and loose. It may not be everyone&#8217;s cup of tea.
